#Tangram Free
We’re excited to announce that the Tangram Free service is online!
We worked a lot to launch https://encode.tngrm.io, which let you try our service.
You have the chance to transcode up to 1GB of video data with three sample presets in H264. All the transcoding process will run on our testnet and you will receive the required output by email.
#Block time
We are tuning the block time on our testnet to guarantee both security and speed to our service as it expands. We are also connecting the consensus protocol to our Club contract on the public Ethereum blockchain, slashing any block mined by nodes not present in the Club and miners without a stake.
#Node security
We are working on the implementation of AWS KMS for the key management for our nodes. Each node owner could choose to keep his private key or part of his private key safe on Amazon Key Management System (https://aws.amazon.com/kms/).
AWS Key Management Service (KMS) makes it easy for us to create and manage keys and control the use of encryption across our nodes. AWS KMS is a secure and resilient service that uses FIPS 140-2 validated hardware security modules to protect node keys.
